POSITION OVERVIEW
The purpose of the Production Support Engineer is to support manufacturing through applying engineering techniques, continuous process improvement and hands on, scientific problem-solving. This role is responsible for supporting the business of the assigned manufacturing area with regards to safety, quality, delivery, people and cost.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Demonstrate technical knowledge of current and new equipment and/or processes in order to support process development, optimization, and reduction of downtime. Drive continuous improvement through lean manufacturing practices. Support achievement of departmental key performance indicators (KPIs). Interface with other departments on the production groups' behalf to ensure that company quality standards and customer requirements are met. Participate in cross-functional teams and support engineering staff to ensure manufacturing readiness of new products and processes and to resolve safety and quality problems by identifying the root cause and implementing permanent corrective actions. Develop working knowledge of all workstations within the manufacturing area. Provide resources and remove barriers allowing teams to be effective. Maintain focus on continuous growth and professional development in the related area. Other duties as assigned.

WHAT TO BRING
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Ability to accommodate a work schedule suitable for production needs and occasional travel. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
WHAT WILL HELP
Professional work experience (including internships) in a related area. Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks. Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience working as a part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
