Location:
Covington, KY Crown Staffing is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join a growing manufacturing team. This position plays a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of materials and components sourced from suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supplier quality management, quality systems, and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Manage supplier qualification and approval processes Evaluate supplier capabilities and ensure compliance with quality standards Monitor incoming materials through inspections, audits, and quality protocols Investigate supplier-related quality issues and lead corrective action activities Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures Conduct supplier audits and follow up on corrective actions Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations teams Develop and maintain supplier scorecards, inspection criteria, and quality documentation Support supplier development initiatives to improve quality, cost, and delivery performance Ensure traceability and material flow requirements are maintained Drive continuous improvement projects within the supplier quality process Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related technical field Minimum of 3 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality Assurance, or Industrial Quality Management Experience conducting supplier audits and managing supplier development programs Strong understanding of quality management systems and supplier quality processes
Knowledge of:
ISO 9001 PPAP
(Production Part Approval Process) FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) Root Cause Analysis methodologies Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers Preferred Experience within manufacturing, industrial, automotive, aerospace, or related industries Knowledge of APQP, SPC, MSA, and Lean Manufacturing principles Experience managing supplier performance metrics and scorecards Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar quality certification Benefits & Perks Competitive compensation Full-time career opportunity Professional growth and development opportunities Collaborative team environment Opportunity to make a direct impact on quality and operational performance Apply Today!
