Job Description

General Position Summary The Quality Engineer is responsible for working closely with customer and supplier and internal to ensure 100% quality of all component parts and materials. Essential Functions Resolve customer, supplier, internal and warranty quality problems by Investigate and analyze our process, If necessary, report to customer or our top management. Champion for countermeasure activity with customer, supplier, internal and warranty to prevent re occurrence Develop effective long-term customer and supplier relationships Ensure timely containment and corrective actions are in place for customer, supplier, internal and warranty problems. Champion supplier and internal activity for quality improvement to prevent nonconformance and reduce the cost associated with nonconformance. Champion for customer, supplier and internal PCR or ECI to proceed activity. Work with MFG, ME, Maint PC department to issue the customer PCR and ECI. Champion new model to establish quality customer s demand and supplier PPAP and internal quality items. Instill the Zero Defect mentality with suppliers and internal Additional Functions Some travel will be required to assess supplier performance or report to customer, Other duties as assigned Job Dimensions (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities or KSAs) Must possess strong written and verbal skills Must be able to use excel and power point. Must be adept at reading drawings. Must be highly proficient in GD&T Must have knowledge of statistic process control Must have knowledge in utilizing standard quality tools (8D,DMAIC,multiple RCA techniques, fault tree analysis) Must be able to understand a CMM layout Must possess strong problem solving skills Must possess good organization skills Must be able to function and communicate in different layers of the manufacturing floor (from Team Members to Managers) Must have a valid driver s license and ability to obtain a passport Minimum Qualifications Education Requirements Bachelor of science degree in engineering or a closely related discipline. Work Experience Requirements 2 years in related field Supervisory Responsibilities Responsible for some direction of all quality issue / Specialist responsibility.
