Position summary ly with Store Operations and Supply Chain teams to enhance the Vendor-Distribution Center-Store network. This is an excellent opportunity for an early‑career engineer who enjoys solving real‑world operational problems and seeing their ideas implemented in the field. Team Overview The Sierra Store Operations team is responsible for supporting the Sierra stores organization in delivering highly satisfied customer experiences. The different teams on Sierra Store Operations work in tandem to help stores drive profitable sales and achieve operational efficiencies. What You'll Do Improve Store Operations Design and implement solutions that improve efficiency and productivity in stores Support store layout design for: New stores, relocations, remodels, and special projects Backroom, office, and support areas (front end, service desk, layaway) Recommend material handling equipment, tools, and technology enhancements Improve work methods and motion economy through observation and analysis Support front‑end scheduling and staffing efficiency Identify process or equipment improvements for markdown management Labor Analysis & Forecasting Develop and support business driver forecasts Build and maintain engineering standards related to: Labor modeling and scheduling Forecasted staffing plans Labor allocation and optimization Support ROI analysis for proposed operational improvements Supply Chain Optimization Analyze and recommend improvements across the Vendor-DC-Store supply chain Help design solutions that: Reduce cycle time Eliminate redundant steps Evaluate the best location for floor‑ready tasks within the network Successful candidates will have: Required Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field 1-2 years of Industrial Engineering or related experience Preferred Experience in a retail store, distribution center, or similar operational environment Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Ability to balance data analysis with hands‑on, in‑store observation Comfortable working cross‑functionally and presenting recommendations Why This Role Real impact: see your work implemented across store operations Benefits include Associate discount; 401(k) match; medical/dental/vision; HSA; health care FSA; life insurance; short/long-term disability; paid holidays/vacation /sick/bereavement/parental leave; EAP; incentive programs for management; auto/home insurance discounts; tuition reimbursement; scholarship program; adoption/surrogacy assistance; smoking cessation; child care/cell phone discounts; pet/legal insurance; credit union; referral bonuses.
