Job Description

We are currently supporting one of our longest standing manufacturing clients in the search for a Process Engineer to join their growing team during an exciting period of expansion. The company has been established since the early 1900's and has successfully evolved into a modern manufacturing operation, supplying a wide range of industries with specialist engineered products. Following a recent and exciting merger, the business is continuing to invest heavily across operations, equipment, and process improvement initiatives, making this an excellent time to join the organization. The successful Process Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods for both new and existing products, while driving continuous improvement initiatives across production operations. Responsibilities for the Process Engineer include: Create and maintain PFMEA's and Control Plans Develop manufacturing processes for new and existing products Write specifications and review equipment proposals Evaluate and select equipment, materials, and production methods Prepare equipment lists, material lists, and supporting documentation/drawings Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, product cost, quality, and scrap reduction Identify and report defective materials, malfunctioning equipment, and unusual manufacturing conditions Perform product and process analysis to improve quality, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency Analyze scrap trends and develop project plans with measurable goals and timelines Support LEAN manufacturing and process optimization activities across the facility Experience required for the
Process Engineer:
4-6 years of manufacturing/process engineering experience Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field Experience within cable, wire, aerospace, automotive, medical, or high-volume manufacturing environments Knowledge of LEAN tools such as 5S, Kaizen, root cause analysis, CAPA, or Six Sigma methodologies Experience improving production efficiency, quality metrics, and workflow performance Comfortable working both in office settings and directly on the manufacturing floor This position is a full-time direct hire opportunity.
