Job Description

KOSO HAMEL DAHL
is a small but well established manufacturer of control valves and actuators. We are looking for someone whose primary responsibility will be to create, document and support process controls to assure that products meet specifications. The incumbent will develop, implement, and manage process improvement projects incorporating Lean principles and perform analyses on quality information to proactively improve potential problems and capture improvement opportunities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for all product Quality Assurance duties, including measurement and inspection Review and make disposition on non-conforming materials. Ensure that effective documentation and control systems are developed, utilized and maintained. Resolve issues through robust problem-solving processes. Maintain and oversee implementation of company Quality Management System and ensure continued compliance with
ISO 9000.
Provide technical leadership, training and support to manufacturing team Identify and implement improvements that reduce product cost, improve quality and maximize customer satisfaction. Ensure that equipment is calibrated and maintained in accordance with requirements, and that these activities are properly documented. Monitors and follows applicable laws and regulations. Responsible for in-house 3rd party audits and vendor quality audits. Limited overnight travel may be required. Education and Experience Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in process development and quality assurance Demonstrated knowledge and experience in quality engineering principles A minimum of 3 years experience in a Machine shop/Manufacturing environment. Knowledge and skills Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems Knowledge and experience using standard measuring equipment and analyzing data Experience with project planning and management. Good analytical problem solving ability Strong track record of delivering results. Knowledge of CNC and manual machining operations and capabilities. Strong communication and presentation skills for both internal and external customers. Ability to balance short-term requirements and long-term goals and successfully deliver on both
