Job Description

Assistant Plant Engineer Location:
Howell, MI Salary:
$90,000 - $130,000 + (based on experience)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Overview Due to continued company growth and increased program volume, we are seeking an experienced Assistant Plant Engineer to support process development, troubleshooting, and program launches in a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role ideal for someone with a strong blend of engineering and quality experience. Key Responsibilities Support APQP processes for new and existing programs Develop and maintain core quality documents (Process Flow, Control Plans, PFMEA) Troubleshoot equipment and processes to improve performance and reliability Lead and support DOE trials to optimize manufacturing processes Assist with program launches and ensure successful production ramp-up Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and production Qualifications 5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing or process engineering Strong background in APQP and Core Tools (PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow) Hands-on experience with machine troubleshooting and process improvement Combination of engineering and quality experience required Program launch experience preferred Robot programming experience (pick/place, water jet) is a plus No degree required Why Join Us?
