Multi-Billion Dollar International Automotive Company located in Jackson Michigan area is looking for a Digital Engineer
JOB DUTIES
Responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing internal applications used across manufacturing plants to support plant operations and improve efficiency. Create lightweight solutions through the Microsoft Power Platform and custom applications to address operational gaps and meet business needs across manufacturing environments. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by managing data pipelines using SQL and Databricks and supporting system integrations across plant technologies and business systems. Work with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to support operational workflows, modeling efforts, and cross-functional initiatives. It directly supports Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Continuous Improvement, and IT through practical technology solutions and data-driven support for decision-making and performance improvement. Design, develop and maintain internal applications used across manufacturing plants, ranging from Power Platform solutions to standalone Blazor apps, to address operational gaps and improve shop floor efficiency. The role also supports plant operations through data analytics and by developing reports and dashboards, primarily in Spotfire and other BI tools, to meet reporting needs and support decision-making. Serves as a key contributor to problem-solving initiatives and continuous improvement projects as identified by department leadership. Manage and develop data pipelines that integrate on-premises SQL systems, Databricks, and the broader Microsoft ecosystem to ensure reliable and efficient data flow across manufacturing operations
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree 2+ years in a role with support to a Manufacturing Process 1+ year of performing report development to analyze data. Experience with data from automated Manufacturing or Administrative Processes is a plus. 1+ in Statistical Programming (Data analysis with python, R, MatLab, etc...) C# / .NET Application Development Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) Strong skills working with on-premises databases (SQL Server)
