Senior CE Parts Recovery Analyst Position Summary:
The Senior Circular Economy (CE) Parts Recovery Analyst leads the identification, recovery, and monetization of service parts, cores, and production scrap across powertrain and non powertrain commodities. This role partners closely with Engineering, Quality, Plant Operations, Supply Chain, and external repair/recovery suppliers to maximize circular-economy reuse, reduce scrap exposure, ensure compliance to internal procedures, and deliver measurable financial recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Circular Economy part recovery activity for plant scrap material (powertrain and non powertrain), ensuring timely identification, segregation, and disposition.
  • Coordinate cross functional decision making with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to determine reuse, repurpose, repair, harvest-for-core, or recycle pathways.
  • Manage repair/recovery suppliers: onboarding, scope definition, quality assurance expectations, performance reviews, and corrective actions.
  • Lead quality assurance activities to ensure recovered/repaired parts meet specification, traceability, packaging, and labeling requirements; ensure compliance with internal procedures and applicable industry standards.
  • Support supplier and process audits; own follow up actions, documentation, and closure of findings.
  • Manage part change impacts (Engineering Change Notices, supersessions) and coordinate disposition alignment with overseas teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop and standardize work instructions, process controls, and reporting to improve recovery rate
  • cycle time, and financial return.
  • Analyze recovery opportunities using demand signals, inventory status, part age/obsolescence risk, and warranty/quality data to prioritize highest value actions.
  • Communicate status, risks, and recoveries to leadership; escalate complex quality or disposition issues with clear options and recommendations.
  • Mentor/guide junior analysts or extended teams (including overseas support) and promote a continuous-improvement mindset.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor''s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong Project Managment Skills & Expierence - 1-2 years.
  • 5+ years of experience in parts recovery, remanufacturing, quality, supplier management, plant operations, or related automotive/industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of part lifecycle management concepts (change notices, supersessions, obsolescence) and basic quality systems (inspection, nonconformance, corrective action).
  • Experience coordinating cross functional teams and external suppliers to execute operational initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills (ability to interpret part/inventory data, build insights, and prioritize actions).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); comfort working with large data sets and recurring reports.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present recommendations to leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Circular Economy programs (core management, repair/reuse, plant scrap recovery, E&O disposition).
  • Familiarity with supplier audit frameworks and quality tools (8D, 5-Why, Pareto, FMEA).
  • Experience working with overseas/remote teams and shared-service operating models.
  • Knowledge of automotive service parts, remanufacturing, and core return programs.
  • Exposure to enterprise systems supporting material disposition, claims, or inventory (e.
g., ERP/MRP, supplier claim portals, or internal disposition tools).

Working Conditions & Travel:
This role operates in a collaborative office environment with periodic visits to plants, suppliers, and recovery/repair locations as needed to support audits, material disposition activities, and issue resolution. Travel requirements vary by program needs.
