Job Description

Talascend is currently seeking an Industrial Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Lansing, Michigan . Overview As an industrial engineer, you will support operations validation and productivity improvements by analyzing operational methods, recording and analyzing information, and recommending changes to layouts and labor or material control. Responsibilities Assist in establishing operational methods and work standards using various measurement techniques. Provide information for various management systems. Record and analyze information on specific problems related to personnel, material, machines, and facilities. Work with various engineering disciplines, floor and shop personnel, and outside suppliers. Confirm or recommend changes to layouts, labor control, and/or material control. Support the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment in support of SPQRC initiatives. Support the plant in achieving Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost goals. Be willing to work any assigned shift, work daily, and support weekend and holiday overtime as required. Support and implement QS9000/ISO14001/(GMS) Global Manufacturing System compliance processes. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Engineering. 3-5 years experience in line balancing activities. 3-5 years experience coordinating system simulations and design process buff. 6 years relevant auto industry experience required.
