Job Description

Quality / Reliability Engineer - Powertrain Overview We are seeking a Quality / Reliability Engineer - Powertrain to support a leading automotive manufacturing operation. This role is focused on supplier quality, issue resolution, and driving improvements across production and supplier processes within a plant environment.

Standard Day Shift Pay Rate:
$45-50/hr with benefits Responsibilities Facilitate Top Supplier process and support supplier quality initiatives Drive resolution of external supplier process zero MIS warranty concerns Support Quality Reject (QR) procedures, including concern binning and dispute resolution Review QR thresholds and assist with non-responsive suppliers Ensure accuracy of QR and PPM (Parts Per Million) data Administer part quality confirmation process for repetitive supplier issues Lead containment efforts for supplier process concerns and BSAQ projects Align with Variability Reduction Team (VRT) on BSAQ glidepath targets Provide early notification and support for supplier-related stop shipments Support containment, tracking, and resolution of stop ship and vehicle hold issues Monitor daily production reports and escalate concerns to leadership Serve as liaison between supplier teams and plant management Lead supplier preparation and support for Vehicle Quality Reviews (VQRs) Required /
Preferred Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's Degree Plant manufacturing experience Quality engineering experience Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Experience with:
AIAG APQP PPAP / PPAP
processes Auditing Program management Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred:
Six Sigma methodology experience Additional experience with APQP and PPAP in supplier quality environments #LI-MR1 #INDOEM
