Engineering Support/Drafter

Data Metalcraft is seeking an Engineering Support / Drafter to join our Engineering Department. This role is ideal for someone with approximately 1 year of experience who wants to grow in a hands-on manufacturing environment. In this position, you will support the engineering and production teams by preparing manufacturing information for release to the shop floor. You will work within a defined system for routing and managing information so that each downstream operation has the correct data needed for production. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and interested in building a career in engineering and manufacturing. Responsibilities Assist with preparing and releasing production information to the shop floor. Review routing and process-step development for manufacturing. Help ensure correct information is shared with downstream operations. Work with engineering documentation, revisions, and controlled information flow. Communicate discrepancies or missing information to the appropriate team members. Maintain accurate records and follow established engineering procedures. Assist in preparing flat patterns and part information for fabrication processes. Qualifications Working knowledge of CAD software preferred. Approximately 1 year of experience in drafting, CAD, engineering support, or manufacturing support. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and customer prints. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to work within structured processes and information systems. Technical college training is a plus. Preferred Background Exposure to sheet metal, fabrication, or manufacturing environments. Familiarity with production documentation and shop-floor information release. Interest in engineering processes and manufacturing workflow.
