JOB SUMMARY
As a Mechanical Design Engineer
  • Production Support in Brooklyn Park, MN , you will: Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks Create detailed engineering drawings and documentation for manufacturing Collaborate with production teams to refine designs for manufacturability and efficiency Support fabrication, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting activities on the shop floor Drive improvements in product design, documentation, and engineering standards Own designs from concept through production, balancing speed, quality, and practicality Work effectively in a fast‑paced environment with evolving requirements Travel frequently to customer locations to support troubleshooting and project needs Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners Contribute to projects that impact communities in Brooklyn Center, New Hope, Fridley, and Coon Rapids, and the greater Greater Minneapolis metro Apply your skills in a dynamic environment that values ownership and innovation
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Proficiency with SolidWorks Experience creating detailed engineering drawings for manufacturing Strong understanding of mechanical design fundamentals Ability to work in a fast‑paced, changing environment Self‑starter with strong ownership, accountability, and follow‑through Comfortable working directly with manufacturing teams and on the production floor Experience with sheet metal design Familiarity with SolidWorks PDM a plus Prior experience in a manufacturing environment Exposure to fabrication, assembly, or product development workflows
