Contract Job Overview:
Responsible for driving continuous improvement activities on the production floor, improving throughput, standardizing work, and supporting operational excellence in a medical device manufacturing environment.
Requirement/Must Have:
Bachelor s degree in Engineering discipline such as Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Bachelor s degree in Engineering from a U.S. institution. 1 3+ years of experience in medical device manufacturing.
Experience:
1 3 years of experience in manufacturing, production engineering, or continuous improvement preferred.
Responsibilities:
Maintain strong daily presence on the production floor as the first-line engineering support for operators and supervisors. Develop deep process understanding across all stations including takt time, work content, and staffing impact on throughput. Support operators in issue resolution, performance tracking, and process adherence. Interpret line balance and translate performance expectations into actionable goals for operators and supervisors. Adjust monthly performance goals based on headcount changes, learning curves, product mix, and ramp conditions. Measure and analyze actual line performance against expected line balance performance. Identify high-performing and underperforming stations and validate root causes through data analysis. Communicate performance insights clearly and effectively to operations teams. Conduct time studies and analyze operator methods to identify variation in work steps. Drive cycle time consistency and standardization of best practices across teams. Support implementation of process improvements, layout changes, and waste reduction initiatives. Facilitate quick feedback loops for issues impacting throughput, quality, or safety. Assist in creation and updates of standard work, training materials, and operator instructions. Support continuous improvement events such as Kaizens, experiments, and pilot runs. Ensure sustainability of improvements implemented on the production floor through follow-up and measurement.
Should Have:
Strong analytical skills with ability to perform basic data analysis using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools. Strong communication skills with ability to work closely with front-line teams. Ability to perform time studies, takt time analysis, and basic capacity modeling. Strong self-starter mindset with excellent follow-up and execution skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment with changing priorities. Strong organizational and coordination skills.

Qualification And Education:
Bachelor s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
