1st shift position 8 am to 4:30 pm Minimal overtime Safety shoes and all other PPE required. Metatarsals
  • Day 1
  • The Product Systems Engineer is responsible for component build, integration, and test of electro-mechanical assemblies of drone airborne agriculture sensors, such as cameras and stabilizing gimbals.
  • This position requires experience in electromechanical component build, integration, checkout, and test as well as excellent organization and dedication to detail.
  • The individual will support production schedule planning, ensure timely completion of production orders, contribute to efforts meant to eliminate production defects, and work with engineering to improve processes and products.
Responsibilities also include hands-on design documentation, transition of mature designs to factory production, and maintenance of existing designs.
Responsibilities:
Technical build assembly. Production design updates, design for manufacturing. Develop and provide external documentation to 3rd party manufacturer Work with electrical hardware designers to specify size/shape, connectorization, indicators, and user inputs to circuit card assemblies. Wired assembly integration / box build. Fault / debug. CCA programming. System checkout & test. Optical assembly, alignment, and focusing. Support production schedule planning. Flight testing. Document checkout test results. Ensure delivery of defect-free product. Ensure sufficient material supply to support production. Perform diagnostic analysis and repair of damaged equipment. Perform fault investigation/resolution of products.
Requirements:
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics Proficient in PTC Creo (minimum of 1 year experience) Part 107 certification acquired within three months of employment Ability to interpret requirements independently Good mechanical aptitude Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Excellent troubleshooting & problem-solving skills Ability to work constructively within a team Highly motivated Ability to scope efforts and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Additional Details Regarding Role:
Change management facilitation regarding documentation between production and the engineering staff., IE Drawings, Design updates, ect. internally and externally Liaison between the engineering staff regarding questions and recommendations on new or existing products. Contract manufacturers point of contact (POC) and will handle all technical data package documentation for assemblies Will facilitate, review implement all Quality Assurance processes with the Contract manufacture. Highest priority within workload will be to supplement production assembly builds for customer orders.
Work Environment:
Approximately 75% of the day spent on feet. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Travel:
May be required to travel using a personal vehicle. Travel will be within a 30-mile radius of the facility.
