POSITION SUMMARY
This position includes supporting the tactical buying function across Apogee Architectural Metals assisting the tactical buyers in day to day actions while leading an assigned project.

DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the development and monitoring of production labor standards to drive process efficiency Participate in the daily production management system, including development and execution of actions (Gemba Walks, Tiered production management) Assist with improvement projects, such as facility layout, material flow and process optimization Assist in the development of process documentation (SOP and Work Instructions) Participate in structured improvement events, including Kaizen blitz events Other duties as assigned To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
College student majoring in a related engineering/manufacturing discipline Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) AutoCAD and Solidworks experience is desirable Ability to contribute in a team based problem solving environment Ability to write process documentation Ability to analyze problems and provide/implement improvement recommendations Familiarity with LEAN tools and principles desirable Regular exposure to a production environment, including hands-on project implementation
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
