Job Description

Engineering Technician Job Description:
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will have direct involvement with Manufacturing, Design and Operations with a focus on new product launch. The Technician will be involved in all phases of new product launch from producing prototypes to investigation of new processes and launching into mass production. Duties and Responsibilities Working with engineering and operators to produce prototype parts for engineering builds Work through multiple parallel path options for production methods. Both internal processes and investigation of new processes Work with outside vendors and project engineers for new equipment design Work with outside vendors and project engineers for testing, validating and qualifying external processes for production Provides technical training assistance to shift operators and Set-up Technicians Performs quality checks / testing on parts during prototype and engineering build phases, through usage of measuring instruments provided Reads and understands quality standards, control plans, and all pertinent documentation required in producing a quality part to specification Able to assist and support corrective action, cross-functional quality, downtime and scrap Education and Experience Technology related Associate Degree required 5+ years of experience in various manufacturing processes Experience with new product launch required Ability to interpret part drawings, knowledge of part quality requirements, and computer systems required Strong organizational and prioritization skills Excellent communication skills Well-developed and innovative problem-solving skills required CAD experience a strong plus Have the ability to work with minimal direction Experience preferred in the following manufacturing processes: automated & manual assembly, forging, stamping, machining, injection molding Milwaukee Tool is an equal opportunity employer.
