Job Title:
Production Engineer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Engineer to join our team. You will support machine specifications, procurement, validation, installation, pre-production trials, and the launch of battery production lines. You will also play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, quality, operation availability, and overall efficiency of battery manufacturing trials. As a Production Engineer, you will work closely with other engineers during the construction and installation of battery equipment, and participate in cross-functional working groups to achieve project goals. Responsibilities Support machine specifications, procurement, validation, installation, pre-production trials, and launch of battery production lines. Support battery manufacturing trials to confirm equipment safety, quality, operation availability, and overall efficiency. Directly support other engineers with the construction and installation of battery equipment. Participate in cross-functional working groups across the local facility and corporate departments to achieve project goals. Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn new processes as required. Organize and guide cross-functional activities across traditional company barriers with minimal assistance from management. Essential Skills Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Design. Experience with CAD and AutoCAD. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment. Strong understanding of project management principles. Experience with reading and modifying drawings. Good knowledge in electrical controls and control systems. Experience in process engineering and continuous improvement. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or a similar technical field or 10+ years of equivalent experience. Experience in production preparation of manufacturing and execution of capital projects. Experience in creating and implementing processes in a manufacturing environment. Experience in detail schedule creation and utilization on capital projects for new or modified equipment. Willingness to work weekends and during shutdown periods, such as July and December holidays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Liberty, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
