This role manages complex support functions, drives process improvements, and ensures seamless execution across production, process, and product environments through strong manufacturing expertise and cross-functional collaboration. Essential Skills + Continuous improvement + Manufacturing engineering + Lean Manufacturing + Mechanical Design + Process improvement + Lean manufacturing + Six sigma + Solidworks + Autocad Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associates degree or bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline + Experience in manufacturing + Experience in continuous improvement Work Environment The work environment is a large manufacturing facility of almost 500,000 square feet, primarily focused on producing sheet metal for shelving units. The facility is older, with quite a bit of older equipment, and can be noisy due to fabrication and manufacturing lines. Office spaces are located at the top of the manufacturing floor, providing easy access to the lines. Engineers will spend most of their time on the floor, working alongside production support. The environment offers a flexible work schedule, casual dress, and a laid-back atmosphere. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
