Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The SQE will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of supplied materials and components, supporting our commitment to excellence in product delivery. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in quality systems, supplier management, and manufacturing processes to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and uphold rigorous industry standards. Key responsibilities include developing supplier quality programs, conducting audits, analyzing quality data, and collaborating closely with sourcing and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of quality management systems such as
ISO 9001, IATF 16949
2016, and AS9100, along with expertise in root cause analysis, process engineering, and supply chain management. A proactive approach to supplier development and process optimization is essential to drive operational excellence. Responsibilities The Supplier Quality Engineer II ensures customer satisfaction and continuous improvement by managing supplier quality performance. This role develops supplier relationships, audits supplier systems, oversees corrective actions, and drives initiatives to improve supplier quality, delivery, and overall performance.
Inspections:
Conduct source inspections, incoming receiving inspections, and material surveys.
FAI Review:
Evaluate and approve Supplier First Article Inspections.
Supplier Qualification:
Assess and qualify suppliers for the Approved Supplier List (ASL).
Corrective Actions:
Manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and RCCA activities.
Non-Conformance Management:
Issue and disposition Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCRs).
Performance Monitoring:
Track supplier metrics and develop Return-to-green plans.
Supplier Development:
Lead supplier qualification, development, and Zero-Defect Programs.
Audits & Risk Assessments:
Conduct supplier audits and evaluate risks.
Process Improvement:
Review manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
MUST HAVE
Must have 2-4+ years of Supplier Quality Engineering or Supplier Quality experience Must have direct experience managing SCARs, RCCA, CAPA, root cause investigations, and supplier corrective actions Should have conducted supplier audits and worked within
ISO 9001, ISO
13485, or AS9100 environments. Must have experience with APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, and First Article Inspections (FAIs) Should be able to read engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications Experience performing source inspections, incoming inspections, receiving inspections, or non-conforming material investigations is important Experience with ERP, MRP, PLM, or MES systems is highly preferred Manufacturing experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, medical devices, precision manufacturing, or industrial manufacturing is highly desirable Lean Six Sigma and ASQ certifications are strong bonuses.
Shift Timings:
8AM-5PM Weekly schedule: M-F CH1
Pay:
$47.00 - $50.00 per hour
