: $23.00/hr - $32.00/hr Clarapath is a medical robotics company based in Westchester County, NY. Our mission is to transform and modernize laboratory workflows with the goal of improving patient care, decreasing costs, and enhancing the quality and consistency of laboratory processes. SectionStar™ by Clarapath is a ground-breaking electro-mechanical system designed to elevate and automate the workflow in histology laboratories and provide pathologists with the tissue samples they need to make the most accurate diagnoses. Through the use of innovative technology, data, and precision analytics, Clarapath is paving the way for a new era of laboratory medicine.
Role Summary :
The Production Engineer Intern will play a key role in optimizing and maintaining Clarapath's manufacturing and assembly processes, ensuring the seamless production of SectionStar™, our advanced electro-mechanical device. This role requires a strong foundation in manufacturing principles, process improvement, and hands-on troubleshooting, supporting a cross-disciplinary team of engineers while managing the daily production needs of the enterprise. The ideal candidate will assist in process optimization, quality control, and workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the development, optimization, and validation of manufacturing processes for SectionStar™ Identify and implement improvements to enhance production efficiency, quality, and scalability Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of production issues Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration of components Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures Conduct quality control testing and inspections to ensure compliance with specifications Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly teams
Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field Understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and process optimization techniques Hands-on experience with production equipment and troubleshooting Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with CAD software and process documentation, a plus
