Job Description

At ConMet, our interns work on real manufacturing challenges — not just observation projects. As a Quality Engineer Intern , you will work directly with production teams to identify issues, analyze data, and implement improvements on the manufacturing floor. This role provides hands-on experience supporting quality systems, solving process problems, and contributing to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment that assembles plastic components for heavy-duty trucks. What You'll Do Support quality improvement initiatives on the production floor Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions Analyze quality and production data to identify improvement opportunities Help develop visual standards and quality documentation Work with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and engineering Support projects focused on process stability and defect reduction What You'll Gain Real-world manufacturing experience Exposure to automotive quality systems Experience working directly with production equipment and assembly processes Hands-on experience with problem solving and quality improvement Opportunity to lead small improvement projects Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Interest in manufacturing and process improvement Ability to work in both production environments and office settings Why ConMet Competitive internship pay Hands-on experience in manufacturing Opportunity to work on meaningful improvement projects Collaborative and supportive team environment Exposure to automotive manufacturing operations Interns at ConMet don't just observe — they work directly with production teams to solve real manufacturing problems and improve processes.
