Job Description

Senior Production Engineer Our client (publicly traded chemical company) is interested in hiring a Production Engineer at their cutting edge manufacturing site in PA. The production engineer will act as site production and business technical resource. Utilizing process knowledge, technical expertise, and operations experience to assist in correcting process or equipment issues and improving process performance and reliability. Production engineer has overall responsibility and accountability for the plant assets, personnel, and achievement of the plant related business goals.
Responsibilities:
Technical / process expert for the site, and a resource in the individual's areas of expertise. Leads and coordinates production, engineering, and maintenance teams Coaches Plant personnel to resolve technical Operate Plant issues. Performs or assist in process hazard analyses, process related Root Cause or failure analysis. Enhances front line skills and knowledge through coaching on the process equipment, engineering, etc. Oversees capital and expense improvement projects. Project manager for improvement projects as needed Supports EH&S function. Provides data on emission calculations. Provides information to regulatory agencies for regulatory permits. Plant interface for PSM, RMP, SARA, etc. Participates as required in Product Stewardship audits, customer visits, provide support to address and resolve customer needs. Responsible for site and business technology plan; assists business in setting long term capital and improvement plans.
Education and Experience:
BS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related degree is required. 2+ years in the Chemical/Refining Industry, encompassing a broad set of technical experiences. High level process management and control skills are required, along with good interpersonal skills to help define and affect necessary actions. Should have a keen business acumen to help manage optimal performance of manufacturing processes and create opportunities (or identify threats) for the business. Experience as an Operations Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or Production Engineer.
Pay:
$110,000.00 - $138,000.00 per year
