Additional information about the company can be found at WhirlpoolCorp.com. ## This role in summary Whilpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Supplier Quality Engineer. This is an onsite role at our Findlay, Ohio location. As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), you will drive the manufacturing site supply base toward operational excellence. You will ensure compliance with raw material designs, implement supplier audits, manage corrective actions, and oversee PPAP (First Part Approvals). You will work closely with Procurement to ensure the robust development of the supplier network.
Note:
This position requires availability for all shifts and includes supervising Engineering Technicians. ## Your responsibilities will include
    Approval & Compliance:
    Ensure all components meet design specifications through the PPAP approval process. Determine the approval/rejection of components based on impact to production.
      Issue Resolution:
      Provide "Rapid Response" diagnostics for assembly line issues. Manage 8D reports and the Controlled Shipping process to ensure effective containment.
        Supplier Auditing:
        Create and execute audit processes based on supplier performance and component criticality.
          Operational Finance:
          Manage the RMA (Return Material Authorization) procedure, ensuring full SOX compliance for quarantined or rejected materials.
            Continuous Improvement:
            Identify quality improvement opportunities and lead problem-solving via Kaizen initiatives.
              Leadership:
              Supervise Engineer Technicians and provide direction on corrective actions and rework implementation. ## Minimum requirements
              • Bachelor's Degree
              • 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment ## Preferred skills and experiences
              • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
              Technical Knowledge:
              Experience with wide range of components (HMI, electronics, valves, motors, compressors, pumps etc.)
                Process Expertise:
                Mastery of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP processes.
                  Quality Tools:
                  Proficiency in WCM (World Class Manufacturing) tools, specifically 8D Problem Solving and Kaizen
                    Technical Literacy:
                    Ability to read complex blueprints and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance)
                      Software:
                      Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and statistical analysis tools
