Job Description

Job Description This position will be responsible to provide ongoing support to the business regarding supplier development/improvement activities supported by corporate metrics. You will work closely with the Materials/Purchasing, Sourcing, Branch Operations Managers, and Quality Assurance departments. Responsibilities Include Conduct Audits and Evaluations for New Suppliers Review all self-assessments from potential suppliers Visit and evaluate suppliers' quality systems Complete Supplier Audits Issue corrective actions and follow up on outstanding responses Participate in Customer Audits of Supply Technologies suppliers Issue monthly performance scorecard Issue supplier corrective actions and verify the effectiveness Perform on-site audits for poor performing suppliers or critical suppliers Identify areas for improvement in the supply performance Develop action plans for improving quality performance of identified suppliers Review and approve PPAP when supplier initiate changes Provide aging reports for rejections by branch, supplier, reason code, and dollars Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of experience in the following- Knowledge of
ISO 9001
2015 Quality Standards and familiarity with
IATF 16949.
Certified in auditing and experience auditing. Proficiency in APQP/PPAP's and able to provide training to suppliers. Corrective action and improvement process including 8D, 5 why, fishbone analysis. Familiarity with various manufacturing processes. Knowledge of material testing and evaluation procedures. Experience with gauging and inspection methods. Ability to travel domestically 30-40% and about 10% to Canada/Mexico. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred Experience working in the Automotive and/or Heavy Truck industry

experience Gage Calibration and Gage R&R software experience Experience with Optical Comparator, Hardness Tester, Thread and Plug Gages Exposure to lean & Six Sigma Quality management system or supplier process/product audit experience Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mayfield Heights, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $48.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
