Isoclima Specialty Glass LLC is a leading provider of Ballistic Security Glass, serving various prestigious clients such as the United States State Department, the United States Military, School Districts (including LA, Houston, among others), Detention Facilities, and numerous commercial applications. Industrial Engineer Position Overview:
As Isoclima Specialty Glass LLC continues to grow, we prioritize continuous improvement not only in our product offerings but also within our manufacturing processes. We are seeking a talented individual with a background in industrial engineering or a related field to assess and enhance our manufacturing team and procedures. This role will be pivotal in implementing lean initiatives, formulating and executing strategic production plans, and collaborating with senior management to achieve company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and quality. Implement lean manufacturing principles and techniques to streamline operations and reduce waste. Develop and maintain production standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in output. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, quality assurance, and management, to drive process improvements and resolve operational issues. Analyze production data and metrics to monitor performance against targets and identify opportunities for optimization. Design and implement ergonomic solutions to enhance workplace safety and employee satisfaction. Lead or support projects related to capacity expansion, facility layout optimization, and equipment upgrades. Provide technical support and training to production personnel on new processes, equipment, and technologies. Participate in continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices. Manage job costing data to ensure accurate budgeting, tracking of expenses, and profitability assessment throughout project lifecycles.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex systems and data. Proficiency in lean manufacturing methodologies and tools (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Experience with process optimization, production planning, and project management is preferred. Knowledge of CAD software and familiarity with manufacturing equipment and automation systems is a plus. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
