Job Description

WHO WE ARE
All-Clad is known throughout the world for its handcrafted top-of-the-line cookware, and we have been creating quality pots and pans for home cooks and professional chefs for over 50 years. Our cookware is bonded, engineered, and assembled in America, in Canonsburg PA. We are seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to assist our team in continuing our excellence in craftsmanship for our consumers around the globe.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
(including but not limited to the following): Support day-to-day production by problem solving issues and working with Department Managers and Shift Supervisors to maximize safety, quality, and efficiency Troubleshoot equipment, implement continuous improvement projects (like Lean or Six Sigma), establish/update standard operating procedures (SOPs), and analyze data to reduce costs, scrap, and cycle times Review the operations of manual, robotic, and automated equipment/systems to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate/solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement Troubleshoot equipment, implement continuous improvement projects (like Lean or Six Sigma), establish/update standard operating procedures (SOPs), and analyze data to reduce costs, scrap, and cycle times Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing best practices Investigate new methods, processes, tooling and/or automation to increase safety, improve quality, increase efficiency, reduce changeover times, and reduce consumables costs Generate reports for analyzing key metrics such as OEE, labor productivity, PM completion rates and machine downtime Support and Lead Continuous Improvement projects and activities such as Kaizen events, Lean activities, 5S, process documentation, and training Maintain, adjust, and improve all tools within respective Production Department(s) to which they have been assigned responsibility Participate in programs to maintain and enhance the safety culture of the site Work with the Research and Development departments for the trial and implementation of new products Work with Manufacturing Engineering to research, design, layout, install and implement new production equipment and processes Work with outside suppliers to investigate new materials and tooling towards continuous improvement
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Candidates must be located within 50 miles of our Canonsburg, PA facility Bachelor's degree in engineering with major in Materials, Metallurgy, or Mechanical preferred. Knowledge of workflows, ergonomics, tooling, and lean manufacturing, either on-the-job or through academic projects Experience in metal forming, machining, grinding and/or polishing is a plus Experience in the areas of numerically controlled systems, robotics, and automation is a plus Proficient Computer skills with Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Outlook, Access, Visio, PowerPoint) Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, ProE or Solid Edge) is a plus Experience with an ERP/MRP system Experience with CMMS software Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and OEM manuals to create accurate work procedures The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Contribute to a culture that values safety, quality, and continuous improvement in everything we do.
