Process Engineer Summer Intern We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer Summer Intern at our Cheswick, PA location to support continuous improvement, manufacturing efficiency, and operational excellence initiatives within our production environment. This internship provides hands-on experience working alongside engineering, production, quality, and maintenance teams to analyze processes, identify improvement opportunities, and support implementation of operational solutions.

A junior/senior level student pursuing a degree in engineering and has strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with an interest in manufacturing operations. What Brought You Here:
$20-$23 per hour
Typical schedule: Monday-Friday (8 AM - 5 PM) with occasional swing shifts
Opportunities for mentorship and professional development What You Will be Doing:
Assist with evaluating manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency
Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, waste, and process improvement opportunities
Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving methodologies
Participate in process mapping, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities
Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process documentation
Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and safety teams on operational projects
Conduct time studies and workflow analysis to support labor and equipment optimization
Help monitor process performance and recommend improvements to reduce downtime and scrap
Support implementation of engineering projects and process changes
Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards Skills You Bring:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in: Industrial Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Manufacturing Engineering
Or related engineering field Minimum GPA requirement 3.00
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, AutoCAD/CNC, or data analysis tools is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to work in an industrial/manufacturing environment in heat
Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 75 pounds as needed
