8 10+ Years Job Summary We are seeking an experienced DataStage Consultant to support and maintain Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in IBM DataStage , Oracle Database , ETL development, production support, and incident management. This role involves ownership of DataStage production support activities, batch monitoring, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and continuous improvement of operational processes. Required Skills Technical Skills 8 10+ years of experience in Data Warehousing and ETL development. Strong hands-on experience with IBM DataStage (8.x/11.x preferred) . Advanced knowledge of Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c) . Strong SQL and PL/SQL development skills.

Experience with:

Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW) Operational Data Stores (ODS) Data Marts Solid understanding of ETL concepts: Change Data Capture (CDC) Incremental Data Loads Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) Experience with ETL and Oracle performance tuning. Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for ETL workflows and database processes. Production Support Skills Incident, Problem, and Change Management. Batch job scheduling, monitoring, and recovery. Data reconciliation and validation. Root cause analysis and defect resolution. Operational support and service management. Key Responsibilities EDW & DataStage Support Own and manage Data Warehouse and DataStage production support activities. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve ETL job failures and data issues. Provide support for IBM DataStage administration and maintenance. Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across warehouse systems. Batch Operations Management Manage and monitor batch schedules and workflows. Coordinate job reruns and recovery procedures when required. Perform data reconciliation and validation activities. Incident & Problem Management Analyze production incidents and perform root cause analysis. Resolve defects and implement preventive measures. Participate in change management and release activities. Performance Optimization Tune DataStage jobs and Oracle SQL queries for optimal performance. Identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements. Support continuous improvement initiatives for ETL and EDW operations. Documentation & Reporting Develop and maintain Runbooks and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Prepare operational metrics and support reports. Maintain production support documentation and knowledge repositories. Top 3 Responsibilities Operational Metrics Reporting Track, analyze, and report production support and batch processing metrics. Runbook & SOP Development Create and maintain operational documentation for support processes. Root Cause Analysis & Troubleshooting Investigate production issues, perform RCA, and implement corrective actions. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting large-scale Enterprise Data Warehouse environments. Exposure to DataStage administration and platform support. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently in a production support environment.
