Job Description

1st Shift Quality Engineer for a company in the Greeneville, TN area. Starting salary 65K. As a Quality Engineer, you won t just be "checking boxes." You ll be the architect of our standards, ensuring that every product leaving our facility isn't just functional, but exceptional. BachelorsResponsibilities Process Control & Optimization:
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans (PCP) and inspection standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Root Cause Analysis:
Lead investigations into non-conforming materials (MRB) using tools like 8D, 5 Whys, or Fishbone diagrams to prevent recurrence.
Compliance & Auditing:
Maintain the company s Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with
ISO 9001
(or
AS9100/IATF 16949
if applicable). Conduct internal process and product audits.
Measurement & Calibration:
Manage the calibration program for all precision tools (micrometers, calipers, CMMs, etc.) to ensure measurement system analysis (MSA) integrity.
Supplier Quality:
Partner with procurement to evaluate supplier performance and conduct off-site audits to ensure raw material integrity.
Continuous Improvement:
Drive Lean Six Sigma projects to reduce scrap rates and improve manufacturing throughput.
