Shift Job Title:
Program/Process Engineer Reports To:
Plant Manager Job Responsibilities:
Develop and write programs for Laser Machines and Robot welding machines, using Auto CAD and other software. Maintain and adjust as required by manufacturing. Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes through the utilization of lean manufacturing principles from design through to start up to full production. Assess processes, take measurements, and interpret data to develop standard operational procedures to improve process and material flow as well as manufacturing efficiency, OEE. Track performance and analyze the completion of continuous improvement goals. Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes to fully optimize flow path. Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output Responsible for supplying the Manufacturing department with all necessary work instructions, quality criteria, process flow layouts, and inspection forms. Attend production meetings and supports the planning, scheduling, and coordinating of production activities to fulfill sales orders with quality parts on time. Manage, coach, mentor, and support production associates on shift. Identify training needs and coordinate skill development. Responsible for the planning and coordinating of the production process using the Production APQP format and for providing the Purchasing Department with relevant Bills of Material. Provide process documentation and operating instructions Responsible for assisting with cost estimating information and establishing labor requirements. Document and report project progress to stakeholders and clients Responsible for all activities involved in product design, including interface with customers and suppliers for all necessary inputs and concepts, prototype review, etc. Availability to work as needed and including weekends as required. Potential 9-10 hr. shifts. Execute on priorities and production plans provided by operations management. Ensure safety standards are met by all employees. Responsible for completing other assignments as directed by the Manufacturing Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
Organization and problem-solving skills, Ability to use specialized software for collaboration and time management, including spreadsheets Strong time management, analytical, technical and process improvement skills Proven leadership skills Strong communication skills oral and written Knowledge of steel fabrication processes, Stamping, including welding, and final assembly.
