Job Description

We're partnering with a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier that is looking to add a Supplier Quality Engineer to their team. This is a high-impact role where you'll work closely with both internal teams and global suppliers to drive quality performance, support new product launches, and ensure world-class manufacturing standards. What You'll Be Doing Lead supplier quality performance initiatives , including tracking and improving key KPIs Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, etc.) with suppliers to ensure long-term solutions Review and approve PPAP submissions , ensuring compliance with customer and internal requirements Partner with suppliers and internal teams to manage process changes and continuous improvement efforts Support new product launches , ensuring purchased components meet all quality expectations from day one Ensure suppliers meet all customer-specific requirements and
IATF 16949
standards Own and manage nonconforming material processes , including "Hold for Inspection" items Lead or support cross-functional problem-solving and quality improvement projects Conduct audits, inspections, and provide guidance/training to internal teams and suppliers as needed Drive cost recovery efforts related to supplier quality issues What You Bring 3-5+ years of Supplier or Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment Automotive Tier 1 experience
REQUIRED
Strong knowledge of:
IATF 16949 PPAP / APQP
/ Core Quality Tools Experience working directly with suppliers and managing performance issues Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred) Ability to lead root cause analysis and drive corrective actions across organizations Nice-to-Have VDA Auditor certification Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Why This Opportunity High-visibility role with direct impact on supplier performance and plant quality Exposure to new launches and advanced manufacturing programs Collaborative environment with strong cross-functional engagement Opportunity to grow into leadership or advanced quality roles within a global organization IND123
