Full Time Opportunity We are seeking for an Immediate job opening for Microvellum Programmer (Production Engineer) - Alvin, TX - Onsite.
Job Summary:
The Production Engineer is responsible for working within a collaborative, team-based engineering environment where knowledge sharing, problem solving, and continuous improvement are essential. In this role, the engineer contributes as both a learner and mentor, supporting colleagues to enhance overall department performance. The position also involves managing assigned engineering tasks efficiently and effectively to ensure all work meets established standards for design quality, lean manufacturing, and project timelines. Responsibilities and performance expectations may evolve over time to align with organizational needs, with a continued focus on professional growth and operational excellence. Job Qualifications Extensive working knowledge of CAD software, including AutoCAD and Microvellum, to prepare technical drawings efficiently and accurately Versed in woodworking and wood veneers Working knowledge of generally accepted take off principles Working knowledge of industry related finishes and hardware Ability to adhere to the company s established standards of high quality and deadline driven schedules simultaneously Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as requested at the discretion of management. Primary Responsibilities Assist in managerial duties as requested by Engineering Manager Identify potential construction issues and coordinate solutions with Project Management Apply field dimensions and redline comments to shop drawings accurately and timely Generate production releases for assigned projects using Microvellum based on accurate understanding of project data Coordinate with shop and/or field personnel on elements of construction and installation requirements Pro-actively participate in a culture of continuous improvement to enhance existing procedures, initiate valuable new ones and eliminate ineffective ones Assist in establishing a Company culture which strongly embraces and promotes a safe workplace Openly collaborate with department peers on elements of physical design, material selection, resource procurement, equipment and cumulative scheduling Assist in training new Engineering team members as necessary Perform other related duties as assigned or requested at the discretion of management
