PCBA Process Engineer:
Responsible for PCBA inspection processes, including X-ray (SMT & PTH), PEMTRON (PTH), AOI, SPI, and Conformal Coating Inspection, ensuring high accuracy and compliance with quality standards. PTH component preparation, including forming, trimming, and conditioning, ensuring readiness for assembly and adherence to IPC guidelines. Assess and optimize production workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy in material movement and resource utilization. Apply Six Sigma or Lean methodologies to drive continuous improvement, reduce variation, and enhance process efficiency. Develop and implement process improvements, updating systems, equipment, and documentation in alignment with manufacturing standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including factory operations, engineering, order management, and Qualityto maintain higher yield and throughput. Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to ensure stable and robust manufacturing operations. Define and evaluate manufacturability of processes with a focus on material flow, cycle time, and throughput optimization. Prepare and justify capital equipment purchases, supporting installation, qualification, and ramp-up of new process equipment. Lead engineering change order (ECO) implementation, ensuring smooth transitions and accurate documentation across production lines. Support training and technology transfer, providing hands-on guidance to production teams during new process introductions and updates.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related discipline, or foreign equivalent, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related position.
Special Requirements:
Experience must include 2 years with the following: 1.
AOI & SPI
Programming and Troubleshooting 2. PTH Inspection (PEMTRON) 3. X-RAY Inspection and Conformal Coating Inspection 4. Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma 5.
IPC 610E
