Industrial Field Engineer -
Construction & Industrial Projects Location:
Childress, TX Pay:
Up to $60/hr DOE + Per Diem We are seeking an experienced Industrial Field Engineer to support large-scale industrial construction projects in Childress, TX. This contract opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in industrial engineering, construction management, field operations, and technical project support within manufacturing, power generation, oil & gas, water treatment, or data center environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide on-site engineering and technical support during construction activities Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, P&IDs, and project specifications Coordinate with project managers, contractors, subcontractors, and field crews Troubleshoot construction and design issues and recommend field solutions Conduct inspections to ensure quality standards and project compliance Track project progress, field modifications, and update as-built documentation Support commissioning, startup, and equipment performance testing Prepare RFIs, redline drawings, and project documentation as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred 3+ years of industrial construction, field engineering, or technical project experience Strong understanding of construction methods, safety standards, and industrial systems Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Experience with construction management software is a plus Must be willing to travel and work extended hours as project demands require Valid driver's license with clean driving record required
