12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends as needed A growing plastics manufacturing company in Fort Worth is seeking an experienced Production Manager to support production operations, scheduling, materials flow, and on-time customer shipments. This role is a good fit for someone who has led production in a manufacturing environment and is comfortable working closely with operations, quality, engineering, and materials teams. The Production Manager will help keep production running efficiently by coordinating schedules, monitoring order progress, tracking production performance, and helping resolve issues that could delay customer shipments. This position requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Create and manage production schedules to support efficiency and on-time delivery. Monitor customer orders from entry through shipment to ensure timely completion. Coordinate with materials, purchasing, operations, quality, engineering, and changeover teams. Help ensure required materials and supplies are available to prevent production delays. Track production performance, including hours to plan, shipments to plan, downtime, and other key metrics. Identify production bottlenecks, process issues, and opportunities for improvement. Support Lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement efforts. Use MRP or ERP systems to support production planning, scheduling, and workflow accuracy. Communicate clearly with internal teams to keep production priorities aligned. Qualifications 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Prior experience in production leadership, production planning, scheduling, materials planning, or production control. Experience working with MRP or ERP systems. Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing practices. Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred. Experience with purchasing, materials planning, inventory, or JIT manufacturing principles is preferred. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365. IQMS experience is a plus. Experience in plastics, blow molding, injection molding, packaging, food and beverage, or other high-volume manufacturing environments is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 20 pounds as needed. Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
