Process Engineer - Manufacturing Operations Overview An established and growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Process Engineer to join its operations team. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineering professional who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is passionate about driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and product quality. Key Responsibilities Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Kaizen, 5 Whys, and Fishbone analysis Drive lean manufacturing activities, including standard work implementation and best practice sharing Develop, standardize, and maintain work instructions and training documentation Identify process improvement opportunities and implement innovative solutions to enhance performance Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to reduce waste, improve process capability, and optimize efficiency Partner closely with production teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and enhance safety, quality, and productivity Support new product introductions, including prototype development, equipment setup, and validation Conduct root cause analysis on customer complaints and internal quality issues using structured methodologies (e.g., DMAIC, PFMEA) Lead corrective actions with a focus on long-term engineering solutions Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and plant-wide engineering initiatives Troubleshoot process and equipment failures to minimize downtime and improve reliability Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering discipline required Approximately 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment; plastics or rubber industry experience preferred 3-5 years of experience managing capital or strategic projects (e.g., plant upgrades, relocations, or major improvements) Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred Strong project management experience, including CAPEX and productivity-driven initiatives Technical proficiency with automation, CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), and ERP systems (SAP preferred) Experience with tooling design, digital manufacturing technologies, and data analysis Knowledge of ISO standards, document control, and auditing processes Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and influence cross-functional teams Compensation & Benefits Performance-based incentive opportunities (short- and long-term) Comprehensive benefits package including: Base salary between $75k-$95 Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off, holidays, and sick leave Parental leave and disability coverage Employee assistance programs Why This Opportunity High-impact role with visibility across operations and leadership Opportunity to work on advanced manufacturing technologies and process improvements Strong career growth potential within a dynamic and innovative environment Collaborative, team-oriented culture focused on continuous improvement
