This position contributes to our vision by: Support the supplier assessment and selection process by conducting audits/assessments and ensuring the implementation of applicable requirements Ensure that suppliers apply Safran requirements, such as APQP, PPAP, FMECA and risk analysis Ensure that products and services comply with quality requirements by planning and conducting monitoring actions from suppliers per the established auditing schedules Ensure proper management of non-compliances through trend analysis of supplier defects and taking appropriate action to drive resolution using the quality tools in ETQ Ensure supplier improvement by measuring supplier performance against the Safran established KPI thresholds Provide Purchasing with information to pass on poor-quality costs to suppliers Ensure that performance improvement plans are implemented by suppliers and monitor the progression. - Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing engineering, Industrial engineering or related technical field or 12 years equivalent related experience in lieu of degree.
- Additionally two (2) years of related experience in a quality role.
- Knowledge of the Plan for Every Part process
- Working knowledge of FAA regulations pertaining to supplier OEM process and products
- Experience in implementation of continuous improvement systems and RCCA
- Must be able to read and interpret average to moderately complex blueprints, drawings, diagrams, tolerance information, route sheets, work orders and procedure manuals.
