Job Description

Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in manufacturing construction chemicals and building materials — including adhesives, sealants, and specialty products used in flooring, tile, and concrete restoration. We are currently seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our operations team. This role will support continuous improvement initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites, focusing on optimizing processes, increasing productivity, and enhancing overall plant performance. The Industrial Engineer will partner closely with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to drive data-driven decision-making and implement scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed analysis of manufacturing and warehouse processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities Establish productivity standards for labor and processes to improve efficiency, quality, and capacity utilization Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflows, layouts, and production processes Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and supply chain operations Analyze inventory levels, material flow, and production planning data to improve space utilization and operational efficiency Utilize ERP systems (D365) to support data analysis, inventory accuracy, and process optimization initiatives Partner with cross-functional teams, including Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Warehouse operations to execute improvement projects Support capital projects including scope development, capacity analysis, ROI justification, and equipment selection Assist with plant expansions, new production line design, and implementation of new technologies Coordinate with vendors and support installation, commissioning, and startup of equipment and systems Monitor project progress, track results, and ensure alignment with operational goals and timelines Adhere to all MAPEI policies, safety rules, and work procedures. Perform assigned tasks in conformance with procedures and instructions established in the Business Management System (BMS) and in compliance with applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulatory requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university required; degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field required. 0-3 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, warehouse, or supply chain environments (internships and co-ops considered) Exposure to ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred) or strong aptitude for learning systems and working with data Foundational knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement concepts Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with data and identify opportunities for improvement Effective communication and ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Valid driver's license with ability to travel up to moderate 30-50% at times.
