Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Associate Industrial Engineer to join our Continuous Improvement team. In this role, you will support data-driven process improvement initiatives across the manufacturing floor, focusing on workflow optimization, documentation, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to analyze processes, support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, and contribute to improving safety, quality, and productivity. This position is ideal for early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and grow into a well-rounded industrial engineering professional. Duties Support analysis and optimization of manufacturing workflows using lean methodologies Assist in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation Conduct time studies, workflow mapping, and layout analysis Collect, clean, and analyze production data to support decision-making Assist in deploying Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and A3 problem-solving Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements Support adoption of BI tools such as Power BI, Excel dashboards, and ERP reports Maintain accurate records and documentation within ERP systems Assist in training production staff on updated procedures Troubleshoot minor process issues and escalate larger concerns with supporting data Participate in safety initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies and protocols Support continuous improvement initiatives and KPI tracking Requirements Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (required) 0-2 years of relevant experience or internship experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred) Skills Understanding of industrial engineering fundamentals (time studies, process design, lean tools) Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing documentation processes Basic data analysis and visualization skills (Excel, Power BI, Visio, or similar) Strong documentation and organizational skills Effective communication and teamwork abilities Introductory knowledge of data analytics or AI in manufacturing (preferred) Preferred Certifications Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Certification Power BI, Excel Analytics, or Digital Manufacturing credentials Why Join EPD?
