Position Summary The Industrial Engineer plays a critical role in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across EPD's operations. This role combines traditional industrial engineering practices with modern data analytics and ERP systems to drive productivity, reduce waste, and ensure compliance with industry standards. You will collaborate cross-functionally to enhance production workflows, support project execution, and contribute to EPD's long-term growth and competitiveness. Key Responsibilities Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety Design and implement process improvements using Lean methodologies (5S, Kaizen, etc.) Conduct time studies, workflow analysis, and value stream mapping Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to align processes with operational goals Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation Collect and analyze production data using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel) Support project execution, planning, and tracking using structured methods (PMBOK-aligned) Identify and resolve process bottlenecks and inefficiencies Ensure compliance with safety standards, ISO requirements, and company policies Support ergonomic and safety improvements on the shop floor Train and coach team members on process changes and Lean concepts
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field 3+ years of experience in manufacturing process improvement or Lean environmentsPreferred:
Experience in electrical manufacturing or engineered-to-order environments Familiarity with Global Shop ERP or similar systems Lean Six Sigma Green Belt OSHA 10 Certification Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Lean tools (value stream mapping, time studies, 5S, Kaizen) Experience with data analysis and visualization tools Project coordination and documentation skills Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration Why Join EPD?
