Minimum Requirements
For Engineering Courses:
Master's degree in Engineering OR Master's degree in a related field with 3-5 years of professional experience in an engineering or design-related industry. For CADD / Technical Drawing Courses:
Associate's degree in a related field and Minimum of 3 years of industry experience using CAD/CADD
software in a professional setting.
Work Schedule
Day, evening, weekend, or online course assignments based on program needs. Courses may be offered in accelerated formats or traditional semester schedules.

Adjunct Instructors will provide instruction in one or more engineering and CADD-related courses, integrating applied learning, industry standards, and real-world applications. Instruction may occur in classroom, lab, hybrid, or online environments and may support the Associate of Applied Science CADD Engineering Technology and Associate of Science in Engineering Technology degree pathways.

Engineering Graphics
Programming for Engineers

CADD / Design Software:
AutoCAD
Inventor
Revit

Qualifications (Required and Preferred)
For Engineering Courses:
Master's degree in Engineering OR Master's degree in a related field with 3-5 years of professional experience in an engineering or design-related industry.
For CADD / Technical Drawing Courses:
Associate's degree in a related field and Minimum of 3 years of industry experience using CAD/CADD
software in a professional setting.
Preferred Qualifications (Plus)
Industry experience using CAD/CADD
platforms in a professional environment.
Experience teaching or training in higher education, technical training, or industry settings, including online instruction.
Professional licensure (PE) or relevant industry certifications.
Experience with multiple Autodesk platforms or related engineering software.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

Support student success through mentoring, feedback, and skills development.

Key Responsibilities

Knowledge Skills and Abilities & Physical Demands
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of engineering principles (statics, dynamics, materials, or related areas).
Knowledge of CADD software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, or Civil 3D. Understanding of industry standards, practices, and workflows in engineering/design. Knowledge of instructional methods for technical or workforce training.
SKILLS:
Skill in teaching technical concepts in a clear, applied manner. Skill in using engineering and CADD software in a professional setting. Skill in developing hands-on, project-based learning activities. Strong communication and basic computer/technology skills.
ABILITIES
Ability to engage and support diverse learners, including adult students.
Ability to deliver instruction in classroom, lab, and online environments.
Ability to organize course materials and manage instructional time effectively. Ability to align instruction with workforce needs and industry expectations.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in classroom, lab, and/or online environments. May include evening, weekend, and/or accelerated course schedules. Lab environments may include exposure to standard engineering or manufacturing equipment. Use of computers and instructional technology for extended periods.
Physical Effort
Light to moderate physical activity.
Standing and walking during instruction and lab activities. Ability to lift and move instructional materials or equipment (up to 25 lbs.) Frequent use of hands for computer work and instructional demonstrations.
