Job Description

Supplier Quality Engineer Reports to: Quality Systems Manager Quality All Fab Full timePosition SummarySupplier Quality Engineer will conduct internal and supplier quality audits, maintain supplier quality database. This role will also help support customer and regulatory body audits and assist in maintaining the quality management system.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform supplier audits/surveys, maintain Approved Supplier ListAssist in customer and external auditsPerform internal quality auditsAssist in maintaining the Quality Management SystemMay assist with internal training and maintenance of records
Minimum Requirements:
Current NQA1 Lead Auditor Qualification with documentation. Four-year degree in a technical field (or High School diploma and eight years of quality experience)Minimum four years (or eight with high school diploma) of quality engineering related experience in a fabrication and machining environment such as working with codes, standards and specifications, auditing, SPC, preparing procedures and other quality related documents, inspection, NDE, etc Knowledge, Skills & Competencies Working knowledge of
NQA-1, ISO 9001/AS9100
standards and proper auditing techniques.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract information from complex documentationPossess good written and verbal communication skills and be able to work well with othersPossess valid drivers license and passport/able to obtain a passport.

Must be familiar with inspection equipment calibration requirements and inspection and NDE processesKnowledge of fabrication codes and standards such as ASME, ASTM, AWS, MIL, ASNTMust be able to work independentlyMust be able to identify and evaluate quality concerns/conditions Committed to working professionally with coworkers, suppliers and customersAbility to work in a variety of fabrication and machine shop environments.

Proactively identifies and reports safety risks or violations.

Must not pose a direct threat to the safety or health of themselves or others.
Working Conditions:
Primarily in office environments but involves working in typical fabrication/machine shop surroundings. Equipment Used (but not limited to):

Computer systems and related software, copier, and standard office equipment.
VehiclesAvailability/Travel:
Regular and reliable attendance required.

Willingness to work overtime as business needs dictate.
