M-F business hours You will be a key team member in our industrial engineering organization, performing time & motion studies to support & execute production system analysis, developing data used for continuous equipment monitoring to understand operational performance of capacity limiting assets, building analytical models of our production processes to ensure we take the right actions to enable rate, and supporting & driving Lean Manufacturing Adoption efforts. You'll directly develop work cell level layout for our factory, ensuring the efficient flow of material through our production processes. You'll collaborate with technical and operational personnel to ensure that the data & models we use to make critical investment decisions is accurate & insightful. You'll contribute to building industrial performance roadmaps for the production teams, helping them achieve best-in-class manufacturing efficiency & results. Key job responsibilities Perform time & motion studies, and report on key findings Build & maintain industrial models for labor, cycle time, and capacity of production processes Capture, summarize, & report on equipment availability data and production performance data, highlighting key actions & opportunities for improvement for the organization Develop detailed work cell layouts to optimize material motion Drive Lean Manufacturing improvement activities such as shadow-board development for 5S of work cells, Kaizen facilitation, etc. Normal day 30% of your time will be on the shop floor, reviewing production processes and execution industrial studies 50% of your time will be spent performing self-directed work to analyze production data, build & summarize models, develop reports, etc. 20% of your time will be spent in structured meeting settings Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a Manufacturing or Factory setting Experience in AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio Experience modeling & analyzing production processes (cycle time analysis, OEE calculation, capacity analysis) Experience performing Time Studies Experience with space flight hardware manufacturing Experience with Production Simulation (Simio) Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
