Job Title:
Industrial Engineer (Time & Motion Studies) Job Description Join a dynamic team as an Industrial Engineer where you will play a crucial role in a groundbreaking program aimed at providing high-speed internet to underserved populations globally via a constellation of satellites. As part of the Satellite Hardware Manufacturing Team, you will contribute to the development and optimization of our production systems, ensuring operational excellence and efficiency. Responsibilities Perform time and motion studies, and report key findings. Build and maintain industrial models for labor, cycle time, and capacity of production processes. Capture, summarize, and report on equipment availability and production performance data, identifying key actions and opportunities for improvement. Develop detailed work cell layouts to optimize material flow. Drive Lean Manufacturing improvement activities, such as shadow-board development for 5S of work cells. Essential Skills Experience in a Manufacturing or Factory setting. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio. Experience in modeling and analyzing production processes, including cycle time analysis, OEE calculation, and capacity analysis. Experience performing Time Studies. Additional Skills & Qualifications BS or MS in Industrial Engineering or a related field. 0-5 years of relevant experience. Experience with space flight hardware manufacturing. Experience with Production Simulation software such as Simio. Work Environment The Industrial Engineer will work Monday through Friday during business hours. About 30% of your time will be on the shop floor, reviewing production processes and conducting industrial studies. Another 50% will involve self-directed work analyzing production data, building models, and developing reports. The remaining 20% will be spent in structured meetings. The work environment is a manufacturing setting, utilizing tools such as AutoCAD and Visio, and focusing on facility layout and production environment optimization. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
