Job Description
Position Summary Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for planning, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness. This role provides technical support to Production, Design Engineering, and Sales, ensuring projects are executed on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with customer and quality requirements. Essential Job Functions Analyze project plans, specifications, and contracts to determine requirements and support estimating, process planning, and progress tracking. Prepare, review, and maintain shop drawings and documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with project specifications. Develop and maintain tooling, equipment, routings, assemblies, and related process documentation. Support production scheduling through team coordination and prioritization based on customer needs. Manage sales and engineering change requests, ensuring compliance with specifications while minimizing production disruption. Assist with project cost estimation and performance analysis; identify productivity variances and recommend corrective actions. Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve workflow. Monitor and analyze variances to standards, determine root causes, and implement corrective measures. Serve as a technical resource for Sales, Engineering, and Customer Service, including input on design for manufacturability and process optimization. Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic support to internal teams and customers as needed. Review and maintain bills of materials, routings, and production order documentation for accuracy. Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methods to improve quality and reduce costs. Support installation, startup, and sustainment of new and existing manufacturing systems and processes. Train and mentor team members on standard work, process improvements, and workflow optimization. Lead and support Lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen, visual management, and continuous improvement activities. Promote and contribute to a safe, high-quality, and productive work environment. Perform additional related duties as assigned. Required Skills and Abilities Strong understanding of engineering principles related to manufacturing systems and processes. Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, including familiarity with tools, equipment, and schematics. Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and collaboration across departments and teams. Strong commitment to continuous improvement and process optimization.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per yearBenefits:
