Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a driven and solutions-focused Industrial Engineer to support and improve manufacturing operations through process optimization, lean initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration. In this role, you will evaluate, develop, and implement safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing processes that support quality, productivity, delivery, and cost goals. The Industrial Engineer partners closely with production, maintenance, engineering, and EHS teams to lead continuous improvement efforts, support new product launches, and drive operational excellence across the organization. What You'll Do Evaluate and develop manufacturing processes, methods, tooling, and equipment to improve safety, quality, and efficiency. Analyze workflows, space utilization, and equipment layouts to optimize production flow and plant performance. Support new and revised product launches through process development, testing, and implementation. Design and validate manufacturing and quality standards through process capability studies and testing methods. Analyze production, labor, and material costs to support operational decision-making and future planning. Partner with Maintenance to improve equipment uptime, reliability, and preventive maintenance effectiveness. Utilize data mining, modeling, process mapping, and cost-benefit analysis to identify operational improvement opportunities. Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S, Gemba walks, and root cause analysis. Act as a change agent by driving process improvements and supporting adoption across departments. Support NORD's North American satellite facilities through continuous improvement initiatives, layout support, and best-practice sharing. Coordinate Global Assembly Management (GAM) meeting inputs and support operations scorecard reporting. Maintain facility layout documentation and coordinate layout-related changes. Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and government regulations. Support plant goals related to safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost performance. Complete assigned projects on time and within budget. Perform additional duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Education Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline required. Degrees in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Systems Engineering will also be considered with relevant manufacturing and continuous improvement experience. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred. PMP certification preferred. Experience 5+ years of manufacturing experience with a strong background in Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and/or Six Sigma methodologies preferred. Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar platforms preferred. Project management experience strongly preferred. Skills & Key Attributes Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to drive change across departments. Experience applying structured problem-solving and data-driven decision-making methods. Ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects with competing priorities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams. Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong working relationships across the organization. Self-motivated and able to work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods throughout the workday. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed. Travel Requirements 15% domestic and international travel.
