Job Title:
Seibi Technician - Production Engineering Powertrain Job Description Join a dynamic team within the Production Engineering, Powertrain Department, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing operational availability through continuous improvement and technical problem-solving. This position focuses on machine setup across North America, supporting capital projects from planning through production start. Collaborate with various departments in jishuken activities and engage in complex problem-solving both individually and with teams. Responsibilities Execute machine setup and increase operational availability through continuous improvement. Support the Powertrain department's objectives in executing capital projects from planning to start of production. Engage in jishuken activities with other departments. Utilize the TBP process to address chronic operational and workability issues. Develop and manage denwacho for assigned work areas. Track and address punch list items for areas of concern. Participate in functional activities and solve complex problems. Utilize
MK/MMR/MMS
revision processes for global machine specification improvements. Plan and execute equipment commissioning activities for assigned areas. Support VTO/ITO/Production Trials and certify safety of equipment per MMR/MMS standards. Demonstrate the ability to learn new processes as required. Essential Skills Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting. Experience with NC programming and mechanical systems. Ability to work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and modifying engineering schematics. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience in an engineering or maintenance role in a high-volume manufacturing facility is preferred (2 years preferred). Experience with the fabrication/modification of simple parts is preferred. Experience using and creating Job Instruction Sheets and Job Safety Analysis is preferred. Willingness to work required overtime and travel domestically and internationally. Work Environment This role offers a flexible schedule to promote work-life balance. Opportunities for international travel, particularly to Japan for training purposes, are available. The position offers long-term, open-ended contracts with stable renewals and opportunities for full-time conversion. Benefits include 10 PTO days, 9 paid holidays per year, and overtime compensation at time and a half. All travel costs are covered, ensuring a supportive environment for growth and learning. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Buffalo, WV. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $43.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
