This role involves hands-on support of mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting in a mission-driven environment. Requirements Key Responsibilities
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment supporting Navy/DoD operations
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on machinery and mechanical components
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures and recommend corrective actions
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation
  • Assist engineers with system testing, integration, and evaluation efforts
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
  • Document maintenance activities, test results, and system performance
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Support field operations, including occasional travel and on-site support as required Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED (Technical certification or Associate degree preferred)
  • 2-5+ years of mechanical technician experience (military or defense experience a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Hands-on experience with tools, calibration, and testing equipment
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • U.S. Citizenship required Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience supporting the U.S. Navy or DoD programs
  • Familiarity with maritime, diving, or expeditionary systems
  • Experience with corrosion control and maintenance in marine environments
  • OSHA safety training or similar certifications
