Salary Plus Benefits Onsite Only US Citizenship Required NOTE:
ONLY candidates with TS/SCI and CI Poly eligibile. If you possess skills in interpreting engineering drawings, adhering to detailed procedures, utilizing machining equipment (lathes, mills, CNC), or have experience in lab/manufacturing settings, your expertise is applicable to this role. While prior photonics experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory as we offer comprehensive on-the-job training for technicians from diverse technical backgrounds. This training covers photonics-specific skills such as fiber optics handling, optical alignment techniques, and specialized testing procedures. If you have the necessary technical acumen and meticulous attention to detail, we will provide the necessary training.
Essential Functions:
Perform fabrication, assembly, integration, testing, or inspection processes following detailed work instructions and drawings, including tasks like Optical Fiber Splicing and Recoating, Assembly and inspection of photonic circuits, Mechanical Builds and Assemblies, Metal Soldering, Microscopy and Profilometry. Proficiency in machining parts using standard tooling and shop equipment.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience or a 2-year post-Secondary/Associates Degree with at least 2 years of related experience. Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
